Who's behind this and why it exists

UK Casino Compass started as a notes file. I'd had three friends in the same month ask me which casino site was a sensible place to put a tenner on slots without ending up in a chargeback fight, and the answer was getting long enough to email. So I put it on the web.

The site is run by one person — me — out of a flat in the north of England, on a quiet evening budget. I'm a low-stakes player. I'm not a tipster, I'm not a high-roller, I'm not pretending to be. The shortlist on the homepage is what I'd hand to a friend, in the order I'd hand it.

What this site is

An independent comparison page focused on UK Gambling Commission licensed online casinos. We pick a small group, write honest notes about each one, and keep the list short on purpose. We do not own, operate, or take a share of any casino brand listed.

What this site isn't

• We don't take bets. There's no betting form anywhere on this site.
• We don't hold deposits, accounts, balances or bonuses. All of that lives with the operator you click through to.
• We're not the UK Gambling Commission, GAMSTOP, GamCare or GambleAware. They're linked because they're useful — we're not them.
• We don't give financial advice. Gambling is a leisure spend, not an investment.

How the site is paid for

Affiliate referrals. When you click an operator link on this site and end up registering, the operator pays us a fee. That fee does not change the price for you, and it does not buy a position on the list — the order reflects opinion, not commission.
